A 29-year-old home delivery driver died early this Saturday morning in Madrid after being hit by a taxi while riding his bicycle on Ciudad de Barcelona Avenue, according to sources from the Madrid Emergency Department.
The accident occurred at 5 a.m., at number 194 avenue when, due to circumstances being investigated by the Madrid Municipal Police, the taxi driver collided with the delivery man's bicycle.
As a result of the impact, the delivery driver has suffered head, pelvic, possibly abdominal and extremity trauma.
Upon arrival, Samur-Civil Protection health workers performed advanced maneuvers on the young man who was in cardiorespiratory arrest, and although they were able to reverse it at first, they were only able to confirm his death.
The municipal police investigate the circumstances of the accident and prepare a report, and a psychologist from Samur-PC has communicated the news to relatives of the deceased young man.
