The Municipal Police of Pamplona arrested a 43-year-old man last night, accused of attempted murder by injuring his 36-year-old ex-partner with a knife in the arms, neck and hands. The man also injured this woman's 58-year-old mother, causing stab wounds to her leg. The woman is out of danger and her mother has been discharged.

The events occurred around 9:30 p.m. on the landing of the stairs of a building in Rochapea, where the 58-year-old woman resides with her daughter. The man, this woman's ex-partner, showed up there and, according to the neighbors, got into a heated argument, so they notified the Municipal Police.

When they got there, the agents found the woman with a wound in her leg and her daughter, in a pool of blood, with several serious cuts on her arms, neck and hands.

The two women were urgently transferred to the University Hospital of Navarra, where the mother was discharged shortly. Her daughter is still recovering from injuries caused by the brutal stabbing.
