The events occurred last Tuesday around seven in the evening. The Local Police of Mutxamel, a municipality of 25,000 inhabitants very close to Alicante, received notice that a possible case of sexual assault on a child under three years of age was taking place. A group of people claimed that, in the local Elche Park, a man had inappropriately touched the child.
The patrols rushed to the scene of the events, as explained by the City Council in a statement, "after the call from the fathers and mothers present alerting them of the situation."
After gathering the information from the witnesses, the agents intercepted a man in his forties who was trying to leave the scene of the events, proceeding to arrest him and take him to the police station.
The minor's father accompanied the agents to file a complaint against the detainee about the events that occurred.
