A 46-year-old farmer who worked for someone else on a wine farm in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real) died this Monday after suffering a heat stroke. The victim was in the field around 3:00 p.m., when a temperature of 39ºC was registered in the area, when he began to feel dizzy, according to Cadena Ser. the same reason.

The news did not come out until this Tuesday, when the mayoress of Cinco Casas, an administrative unit dependent on Alcázar de San Juan where the farm is located, reported the tragic event. The deceased was transferred by his own brothers, who worked with him, to the Argamasilla de Alba Health Center, from where he was transferred to the Tomelloso General Hospital, where he died three hours later.

The autopsy has confirmed that his death was due to heat stroke. Ciudad Real is one of the 23 Spanish provinces in which an orange alert has been declared due to temperatures that will be around 40ºC throughout the week.
