A driverless car crashes into the stairs of the Madrid metro and almost runs over a young man

The María Tudor metro stop in Madrid has experienced one of the most surreal and strange accidents in recent years after an out-of-control, driverless car crashed at the entrance to the station.

The images captured by the security camera show a young man going up the subway escalator when suddenly something surprises and scares him: the out of control car.

The pilotless vehicle arrives in reverse, destroying everything in its path and crashing into the escalators, fortunately without running over the young man who avoids it, perplexed.

The car is an Audi Q2 and the reason why it crashed in such a strange way at the subway entrance is not yet known, although the images have given rise to much speculation.

One of the most widespread explanations is that the car was parked without a handbrake and had rolled off uncontrollably until reaching the station.

In any case, there has been no miraculous injury to report, since at the speed at which it was going it could have seriously affected the young man in the recording.
