A TMB line V21 bus caught fire early Thursday morning in front of the Canyelles metro stop (L3), on Via Favència with Plaça Karl Marx. The vehicle was not carrying passengers at the time the fire started.
According to Betevé, the driver had left the garage to start the service on the Ronda de Dalt when he noticed that the bus was not working properly. For this reason, he abandoned the round and stopped on that road. It was then that it caught fire and there were a couple of explosions that did not go unnoticed by the residents of the area.
The visible smoke could be seen from different points of the Catalan capital. As a consequence of the total loss, the bus has been completely burned. The flames have also reached some cars near the vehicle.
Lines 27, 47, 60, 122, 185 and V27 have been affected by the incident and are diverted to calle d'Almansa, via Júlia and Paseo de Valldaura.
