The violent robbery took place in the central area of the city around 6:30 p.m., when the victim refused to give money to the passerby. The young man, a resident of the town, pounced on the woman, giving her a push and causing her to hit the ground hard.
The National Police was alerted to the crime thanks to an off-duty agent. The young man was located and detained in the streets near the robbery, carrying the victim's purse with him.
The detainee, who already has a history of robberies with violence, will be brought to justice today. The victim is in the hospital due to severe bruises and a fracture in his shoulder awaiting surgery.
