The 15-year-old athlete Unax García, CD Urki cadet, died yesterday Saturday as a result of a sudden death. The young man's mother found him lifeless when she went to wake him up in the morning, the same day the defender was playing in a Cadete Preferente match against Urola.
García's death, reported by El Correo, has generated great consternation in the sports club of which the young man was a member. "He was an educated boy, he came to all the training sessions, a beautiful person," his coaches Pedro Santiago and Ander Arrillaga explained to the newspaper.
For his part, the president of CD Urki, Jesús Alzaga, commented that the loss of the young man has been "a hard blow" for them and that they are still "incredulous" after receiving the sad news.
