8M | Schedule and route of the demonstration in Valencia for International Women's Day

This Wednesday, March 8, International Women's Day, several rallies and demonstrations have been called in the city of Valencia to demand a more egalitarian society.

According to sources from the Government Delegation, the main demonstration, called by the Feminist Coordinator, will start at 7:00 p.m. from the Porta de la Mar and run through the streets Colón, Xàtiva, Avenida Marqués de Sotelo, Plaça de l City Hall, Calle Sant Vicent and Plaça de la Reina.

Before, at 6:30 p.m., a collective action is prepared in the Porta de la Mar itself that will consist of a 'Snip to the patriarchy' with a collective haircut in solidarity with the women of the Iranian people.

This march - with the motto 'Feminism, Justice, Equality and rights for women' - is expected to be the most popular to be held in the capital of Túria, but it will not be the only one.

The Feminist Assembly has convened for this March 8, again, another feminist strike that will culminate in another demonstration that will run almost parallel to the previous one. The demonstration under the slogan 'Front violent capital, feminisme dissident', will start from the CIE in Zapadores and will run through the Ruzafa neighborhood to San Agustí. It will continue through the Ciudad de Brujas square until entering Carmen (Bolseria and Cavallers streets) until it ends in the Plaça de la Mare de Déu a few meters from the previous call.

Before these marches, in the morning, the World March of Women Association of Valencia has requested permission for a rally on the esplanade of the Estación del Norte in Valencia from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
