7 comfortable wines to enjoy autumn aromas from the sofa

After the summer we have had, these days it is appreciated to relax a little and stay at home, for example, to read. And what's better than uncorking a good wine for company? We have selected some of the most interesting bottles for this autumn season, do you want to know what they are?

Great red wine where its grapes are made separately and with different methods, to give it very special characteristics and complexity. The Garnatxa contains a portion of whole grapes and the Cabernet undergoes a slight raisining. The nose concentrates a lot of red fruit, blueberries, cherries, aromatic herbs and cocoa. In the mouth it is very juicy and a long life in the bottle is predicted.

Delicious white wine and very gastronomic for the autumn season. It is a wine that has remained in French barrels for 3 months, which gives it complexity. The color is somewhat golden yellow. The nose is very aromatic with notes of yellow apple, citrus, apricot, white flowers and smoky touches. In the mouth it is unctuous, fresh and with a pleasant warmth in the finish and hints of sweet spices.

Friendly expression of a Malbec grape, where the barrel adds but on tiptoe, giving way to very evident fruity and floral notes. Héctor and Pablo Durigutti are responsible. The wine is very perfumed with aromas of cherry, strawberry and blackberries. The notes of violet and red caramel are appreciated very well. The palate is smooth, fruity and fresh on the palate, with soft tannins and a floral finish.

Exceeding 800 meters of altitude are the vineyards between Peñafiel, Roa and Olmedillo. The wine is aged for 12 months in two-year-old French oak. The vineyards are old and chosen not at random by Fernando Remírez de Ganuza and Pedro Aibar to obtain a complex, tasty and balanced wine. The nose reflects the variety very well with notes of red and black fruit, floral, smoky touches and pepper-type spices. Enjoyable now and over time.

This very interesting rosé wine is a project led by René Barbier. He was responsible for rescuing this quality Grenache from a cooperative and shaping it into this special, complex and gastronomic rosé wine. On the nose, wild fruits, cherry, stone fruit, citrus and field flowers stand out. In the mouth it is fresh, sapid and smooth, with a persistent finish.

This successful blend in this red wine brings us closer to a perfect conjunction between earthy and mineral notes with other more floral and fruity notes. The wine is aged in used barrels so its contribution is very discreet. It is very perfumed, herbaceous, with strawberry and sour raspberry, notes of incense and spices. The palate is very fresh, juicy and in the finish a slight bitterness gives it pleasant length.

For me this grape has a bewitching point due to its different styles and always at the mercy of the producer. In this case, De Trafford obtains a chenin that expresses very well the character of the variety and place where it is found. The wine is fermented and rests in used barrels of different volumes. We find aromas of stone fruit, honey, toasted, smoked and flowers. The palate is unctuous, fresh, sapid and has a long finish.
