10 questions for Laporta before Barça-Girona

The monopoly of the ball, the imposition of style and the great moment that Barcelona (3rd) and Girona (2nd) are going through in the League will oppose each other this Sunday at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. Míchel's men will look for their first victory ever against the Blaugrana and the Barcelona fans, to confirm their good feelings. Its presidents Joan Laporta and Delfí Geli answer the ten questions from La Vanguardia before the big fight. Where would Laporta go for the weekend with Delfí Geli? What will he do in these previous hours before the meeting? What do you like about your coach, Xavi Hernández and which Girona player would you sign? This is the test of Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona.

1. What do you like about Delfí Geli?

He is a serene and educated man.

2. Which player would you sign from Girona and for what reasons?

I am very happy with all the players we have. In Girona we have two (Pablo Torre and Eric Garcia).

3. What do you like most about Xavi Hernández, your coach?

That he is very fond of football. That he knows how to resist to win. And I know I can trust him.

4. If you went down to the locker room before the game today, what would you say to the Barça players?

That we only have ourselves. That there is nothing better than fighting and winning. And we have to win for all the culés who love us.

5. At 30 years younger, in which area would you like to play this match?

Midfielder on the left wing.

6. Has Girona gone from being a friendly team to a rival?

He is a rival who is a friend. And we respect him a lot.

7. Where would you invite Delfí Geli to spend a weekend and what plans would you make?

In the desert a long weekend. With its influences in the Gulf, we would surely have an unforgettable experience with good company.

8. If Barça does not win the League, who would you like to be the champion and why?

The Girona. Because it is a Catalan team and represents a city of which I also feel part.

9. Say a result for this Sunday's game.

All the results that give us victory suit me well.

10. What routine will you follow today before the game? Do you have any rituals?

I will get up late, because the night before I will have had a friend's birthday. When I get up, I will have breakfast and listen to music on the terrace. Some media attention and I will go to the board lunch at Ca l'Isidre. Afterwards I will go to Montjuïc to congratulate the permanent-discontinuous staff on Christmas. Then home, where I will watch football while waiting for my chief of staff, Manana, to come pick me up to go to the Estadi Olímpic to watch the Catalan derby.
