The wait is over. Rockstar Games has just announced that the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 will be published next Tuesday, December 5, at 3:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). After weeks of speculation about the date of this long-awaited advance, the American publisher has announced the news through a simple image on social networks.
A few weeks ago Grand Theft Auto 6 was in the news again after Rockstar Games announced the imminent publication of the first trailer "in early December." Now, it is unknown if the release date or some other indicative date will also be announced on the same day the trailer is published.
In February 2022, Rockstar Games already announced that it was already working on the new installment of this popular franchise. Likewise, in September of that same year, a massive leak took place through the illicit obtaining of alleged images of the game in development, a case that caused a stir due to the high expectations for the sequel to Grand Theft Auto V.
The first version of Grand Theft Auto V hit stores in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Since then, the game has been released on more platforms (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series) and has sold more of 185 million units, a figure that has made it the second best-selling game of all time – only behind Minecraft – and a true phenomenon of popular culture.
A few days ago in La Vanguardia we published an article about how we would like Grand Theft Auto 6 to be, an open letter to Rockstar Games that we will see if it comes true next Tuesday.
