‘GTA Online’ Update: New Stunt Races, Jumpsuit, Discounts And More

Rockstar Games just launched a new update for “Grand Theft Auto Online” or “GTA 5.” This update comes with new content and discounts players will surely like. It also lives up to its name “The 2017 GTA Online Stunt Race Event” because it introduces 15 new Stunt Races.

Just this Tuesday, Rockstar updated its famous action-adventure video game with several Stunt Races. In its announcement, the developer indicated that the brand new tracks do not only offer more racing action, they also give Double GTA$ and RP just like the rest of Rockstar Created and Rockstar Verified Stunt Races.

“All the hair-raising thrills and stomach-churning twists from Stunt Races are back and bigger than ever with 15 brand new Rockstar Created tracks,” Rockstar stated on its website. “You'll race up glass towers, plummet through clouds, dodge turbines and clatter though bowling pins on your way to the finish line.”

Rockstar also indicated that the map for the in-game Stunt Series has been updated to show all of the 15 new Stunt Races, namely: Green Machine, In The City, Raton, Around The Docks, Pier Race, Wall Climb, Mountain Drop, Trench III, Lift Off, Big Drop, Spinner, 45°, Gauntlet, Big M and Plummet II.

In addition, Rockstar is giving discounts to select vehicles and clothing from the Cunning Stunts update that was released last year, as per GameSpot. So from today until March 13, the following are discounted by 25 percent: Annis RE-7B, Liveries, Stunt Clothing, Emperor ETR1, Lampadati Tropos Rallye, Stunt Tattoos, Vapid Desert Raid, Obey Omnis and Vapid Trophy Truck. Even Vehicle Warehouses are marked down by 25 percent within the said period just so players can make the most out of their missions to steal and deal vehicles.

Rockstar did not forget to offer something for free to players who will be hitting the road following this update. A Pink Stunt Jumpsuit is now available for free to those who are accessing “GTA Online” from this week until March 13. “There's no point in barrel-rolling through a ring of fire while flipping off your adversaries unless you look the part while you're doing it. Tackle the new Stunt Races in style with the Pink Stunt Jumpsuit,” Rockstar said of the free suit.

Finally, the developer announced the schedules for the Premium Race and Time Trials. The “Pier Race” Premium Race is set to run from Feb. 28 through March 6, while the “In The City” Premium Race is set to happen from March 3–13. Both races are locked to Super class vehicles. Meanwhile, the “Up-n-Atom” Time Trial and the “Maze Bank Arena” Time Trial are scheduled to run from Feb. 27 through March 5 and from March 6–12, respectively.
