Perth have the opportunity to profit on their game in hand at the last match of Matchweek 23. Richard Garcia's side now sit on 33 points however may jump to seventh with a triumph, closing the gap into sixth-placed Brisbane Roar to only 1 point.

A draw would maintain Perth mathematically in the search with a single match to play with, but a reduction would wipe out the off side's hopes of a top-six finish.

The Roar, meanwhile, have inspiring factors of another nature heading to the Wednesday-night fixture. Three groups set seventh to tenth to the A-League table have Brisbane within their sights heading in the last Matchweek of this year, but Warren Moon's team could remove both Perth and Western Sydney Wanderers in the Finals Series dialogue using a three-point attempt at Moreton Daily Stadium.

Perth are unbeaten in six matches going into their final two matches of this campaign. A fun 2-2 draw Wellington Phoenix last time outside abandoned the West Australian side having an uphill climb to reach the Finals Series at the end of the year, but beating Brisbane for the next time this year would reinvigorate their dire final push.
