For the second time this season, the Bulls will be trying to hand the Warriors their first two-game, regular-season losing streak since April 2015.
This time, the Warriors won't have Kevin Durant in their still formidable arsenal. The Bulls host Golden State at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Warriors announced early Wednesday that Durant suffered a Grade 2 medial collateral ligament sprain and tibial bone bruise and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Durant, who underwent an MRI exam, suffered the injury during Tuesday's loss to Washington when teammate Zaza Pachulia rolled into his left knee.
The Warriors defeated the Bulls 123-92 in Oakland, Calif., early last month. Neither Jimmy Butler nor Dwyane Wade played for the Bulls. Butler sat with a right heel contusion; Wade was sick.
Durant scored 22 points for the Warriors that night while Klay Thompson posted a team-high 28.
The Warriors have set an NBA record by not losing two consecutive regular-season games since April 2015.
