Valencia leaves Barça without an unbeaten record

For just 5 minutes, and thanks to a goal from María Jiménez (m.11), Barça was left without an unbeaten record in the F League. To achieve a new unbeaten record, Barça needed to keep a clean sheet for at least 16 minutes, since he added 946 without conceding (more than 10 and a half days); the previous record was 962 minutes in the 2020-21 League.

María Jiménez headed completely alone at the far post of the goal defended by Sandra Paños. Sixth place in the League, Valencia arrived at Johan Cruyff with a streak of three consecutive victories. In fact, they have won the last three games they have played as visitors. The Blaugrana team recovered from the initial goal with goals from Rolfo (m.26), Torrejón (m.47), a double from Paralluelo (m.60.66) and another goal from Paredes (m.70) to win 5- 1 on matchday 22.

In the Blaugrana's first goal, Rolfö used a whiplash from the left that surprised the Valencian goalkeeper Enith, who was unlucky in her intervention. The ball slipped through her legs. (1-1). On the edge of the break, Aitana served an exquisite ball to Marta Torrejón, who was totally alone in the area. The Barcelona side did not forgive and with a right cross she beat Enith again.

After the break, the Blaugrana came out willing to widen the difference on the scoreboard. Up to three times they have prevented the goal between Enith and Kerlly even so Salma Paralluelo sealed the score with a brace and Irene Paredes joined the party with the fourth.

Against the Valencian team, Barcelona plays its last game before traveling to Rome to play the quarterfinals of the Champions League, on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. For this reason, the league day has been brought forward to Friday, so that the blaugranas can have one more day of rest. Against Valencia coach Jonatan Giráldez could not count on the injured Claudia Pina, Mariona Caldentey and Alexia Putellas.
