The relationship between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez is not going through its best moment. The leader of the MotoGP World Championship harshly criticized an action by the Catalan Honda rider during qualifying for the MotoGP Italian GP, who went out onto the track just as the Italian was facing the end of the finish line with the intention of catching his slipstream.
The Italian complained bitterly on the track that the Spaniard had spoiled his launched lap in the first corner with the intention of sticking to his wheel and taking his slipstream to go faster. Bagnaia let him know with an important row about the motorcycle while Márquez denied him the reason.
It was not the first time that Márquez had successfully tried to stick to a rival's wheel to go faster, which is why the Italian complained about the attitude of the man from Cervera. In fact, once Bagnaia cut his lap, Márquez stuck to his wheel to take advantage of the Italian's great speed. With less than a minute left to the end of the session, both scored first and second place.
At the end of the session, Márquez tried to prove the Italian was right. “I have not understood Pecco's anger, because I have not hindered him. He has decided to get angry. If he had pulled that turn, he wouldn't have followed. But his anger has helped me to catch the slipstream and be in the front line," he confessed.
