The MotoGP World Championship riders disembark this weekend in Motegi to compete in the Japanese GP, the fourteenth round of the season that will be held at the Twin Ring Circuit. The championship is in a fist. In the last race, the Italian Marco Bezzecchi achieved a clear and overwhelming victory, ahead of the Spanish Jorge Martín, which allows them to get closer to the world leader, the Italian Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia, who finished on the ground.
With his victory in the Indian GP, Bezzecchi has a lead over the Spaniard of 13 points and is 44 points behind his compatriot.
At the end of the race, Bagnaia recognized a huge mistake in the "long race" in India, in which he entered the "trap" set by the Spaniard Jorge Martín. The Italian explains that he now has problems where he was stronger, when braking.
The room for maneuver for all drivers is less: there are seven grand prix remaining, with 37 points in dispute in each of them, until the end of the season.
Far from the fight for the championship, Marc Márquez, sixteenth overall, hopes to have a good performance in the Japanese GP. “We have had many memorable moments there in the past, winning championships, returning to pole last year, so I hope we can do something nice to give the fans one more reason to cheer for us,” explained the Catalan, pending resolution of his future with Honda.
