Marc Márquez, operated on his right forearm

The Spanish MotoGP rider Marc Márquez underwent surgery this Wednesday on his right forearm, in which he suffered from compartment syndrome.

Márquez, six-time MotoGP world champion, who left the Repsol Honda team to compete next season with a Ducati, shared on his official 'X' account two photographs in which he shows his operated arm with a bandage.

"In the second part of the season I have been suffering from compartment syndrome in my right arm. This morning we solved the problem with Dr. Ignacio Roger de Oña's team with the aim of being ready for 2024!", expressed the pilot.

This operation does not have the importance of others that he suffered in the past, such as those on the left shoulder in 2018, right shoulder in 2019, four surgeries on the humerus of the right arm from 2020 to 2022 after the crash in Jerez 2020 and on the right thumb due to an accident in Portimao this year.

This is a very common problem in MotoGP, in fact in 2022 several riders had to have surgery. This operation will not prevent him from continuing with the training plan planned by the Catalan with his new team. The Cervera driver explained in a message that this problem had complicated things for him in the second half of the course.
