Badalona City Council yesterday presented the project for the construction of the new municipal Olympic swimming pool that is part of the sports complex that will be built on the site of the old Focus factory, between the neighborhoods of Morera and Bufalà.
The new sports complex that will begin to be built in 2025 and is expected to be completed in 2026 will have a constructed area of 13,744.45 meters. The reclaimed 52.50-meter Olympic pool stands out, along with four spaces of water and other smaller pools, a hydrothermal area and another outdoor pool that will be built in a second phase. In addition, the equipment is equipped with paddle tennis courts, gym, fitness room, outdoor running track and parking with 153 spaces. In this first phase, an economic endowment of 12.5 million euros will be allocated.
