The week ends with eleven communities alerted by the Aemet due to the risk of intense rain and wind

The Atlantic storm Bernard, the second with great impact in this 2023-24 season in southwestern Europe, will influence the weather in a good part of Spain from this Sunday, since it will approach through the Gulf of Cádiz and sweep the southern peninsula to the north until this Monday with abundant rains, intense winds and rough seas.

The prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) indicates that few areas will be outside the influence of Bernard. In fact, a front associated with that storm will cloud the sky in the Canary Islands and distribute rain throughout the archipelago, with less probability in the eastern islands.

Meteorology has activated warnings this Sunday in nine autonomous communities due to rain, wind or rough seas due to the second impact storm this fall. Adverse weather will appear mainly in the afternoon.

.- GALICIA: cloudy increasing to overcast with probable mists and fogs in the west of A Coruña, the center of Lugo and high areas of the interior. Weak precipitation and showers are not ruled out in the morning in parts of the western coast and the Ourense mountain, which will extend from south to north in the afternoon, more widespread and intense. Minimum temperatures with slight changes and maximum generally slight ascent, more marked in the eastern third. Light winds from the southeast tending to be variable in the afternoon.

.- PRINCIPALITY OF ASTURIAS: cloudy increasing to cover. Generally weak rains and showers are not ruled out, more likely in the western half, with widespread, locally moderate rains and showers at the end of the day. Weak frosts are not ruled out on the peaks of the Cordillera. Snow level of 2,200 meters. Light winds with a southerly component, with some moderate intervals in high areas, tending to variable light winds at the end of the day.
