The Aemet warns of the arrival of the storm Frederico: it will rain in these areas of Spain

The anticyclonic weather will continue this Thursday in a large part of the Peninsula, with a predominance of slightly cloudy skies or with intervals of medium and high clouds and maximum clouds above 20 degrees in more than twenty provinces, according to the forecast of the State Agency of Meteorology (Aemet).

However, instability will come from an Atlantic front associated with the Frederico storm, which will leave rainfall in Galicia, around the Cantabrian Sea and the western Pyrenees, without ruling it out in other parts of the northern third of the peninsula.

The impact of this new storm, named by the French meteorological services, will be low. Frederico will leave some rain in the north, but it will mainly affect France, continues Aemet.

The rains will be more abundant in western Galicia, where they could become locally strong or persistent and move from west to east throughout the day. In a weak and occasional way, the agency does not rule out that they affect other points in the northern third of the peninsula.

In addition, for this Thursday abundant low morning cloudiness is expected in large areas of the rest of the Atlantic slope and interior of the northeast, as well as in the Balearic Islands, the Strait and Alborán.

Wind will blow from south and west components in the northwest and north, more intense in Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea, where there could be strong intervals and very strong gusts on coastlines and exposed areas. The Aemet also expects some more intense intervals in other areas of the northern third of the peninsula.

Minimum temperatures will tend to decrease in Andalusia, Levante, the Canary Islands and the northwest of the peninsula, although they will increase in the rest. Maximum temperatures will increase in the extreme north and interior of the eastern third, with decreases predominating in the rest, more pronounced on Mediterranean coasts, Andalusia and the Canary Islands.

In Seville, Tarragona, Alicante, Girona Huelva, Córdoba or Málaga the maximum temperature will be close to 25 degrees. They will only be surpassed in Murcia (29) and Granada (26).
