The presence of the Rhea storm in the western Mediterranean can cause strong winds or very strong gusts in Empordà, the Pyrenees, the Balearic Islands and the lower Ebro, tending to decrease in intensity throughout this Tuesday, according to the forecast of the State Agency of Meteorology (Aemet).

In anticipation of winds of up to 80 km/h, the agency has activated the yellow warning in the southern pre-coastal of Tarragona due to wind from the northwest. These same gusts could also affect nearby areas of the north coast of Castellón.

In addition, the Aemet has activated the yellow warning for coastal phenomena due to northwest wind with intervals of 40 to 50 km/h (force 6) and waves of between two and three meters in Mallorca, Menorca, the coast of Tarragona and Girona.

The influence of Atlantic fronts will leave rainfall in Galicia and the Bay of Biscay this Tuesday, while the rest of the peninsula will be slightly cloudy, with stable temperatures in most of the country, with the exception of the Guadalquivir and Huelva coasts, where they will be significantly high. There, the maximum 36 degrees can be reached.

The temperatures will remain without major changes, except for the minimums that will register an increase in the interior southeast, the Balearic Islands and both plateaus, and a decrease in the interior of the northeast third; the maximums are increasing in the Pyrenees and the southern half, decreasing in the northern plateau and the Catalan, Valencian and Balearic coasts.

According to the Aemet forecast, in the Canary Islands there will be intervals of low clouds in the northern zone, with few changes in temperatures on the coasts and with decreases in high areas, with trade winds in the Canary Islands, with intervals of strong and very strong gusts. between islands.

Although there will be a rise in temperatures during the first days of the week, the forecast is that it will cool down again for the weekend. On Friday, the arrival of an Atlantic front is expected to leave cloudy or overcast skies in Galicia and the western half of the Cantabrian Sea, with precipitation and the occasional storm.

The entry of that front will mean that, regarding temperatures, we have a week that will be colder than normal for the time of year in almost the entire country.
