Various members of the Foundation also complete the Camino on adapted bicycles

The general director of People with Disabilities of the Xunta de Galicia, Begoña Abeijón, received the pilgrims from the Also Foundation who have completed the French Way in five stages using adapted bicycles.

The Also Foundation, which promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities and their participation in adapted sports activities, ended on Sunday the pilgrimage to Santiago, which it carries out annually.

Upon the group's arrival at the Plaza del Obradoiro, they were greeted by the representation of the Xunta headed by Begoña Aebeijón who highlighted "the role in favor of raising awareness and full inclusion that the Camino de Santiago has."

The group made up of more than 50 people with and without disabilities began their route in Palas de Rei (Lugo), 60 kilometers from the Galician capital. This year's edition had new participants such as the journalist and activist Irene Villa who acted as 'godmother of the Camino de Santiago' and who read a message during the 12:00 mass in the cathedral of Santiago.

Likewise, the young influencer with spinal injury 'Superlu' and the actor recognized for his work in the Campeones saga Jesús Lago, who as he does not have mobility difficulties, completed the Camino on a conventional bicycle, joined.

On the other hand, the Os do Monte Bravo Cycling Club voluntarily accompanied the group along with the technical team of Also to provide support with day-to-day needs.
