PSC, Junts and BComú share the 73 neighborhoods of Barcelona in electoral terms. According to the provisional data from the scrutiny, the Socialists prevail in 35 neighbourhoods, the candidacy headed by Xavier Trias does so in 21 and Ada Colau’s Comunes wins in the remaining 17.

The winner of the elections, Xavier Trias, manages to establish himself as the most voted candidate in the city’s neighborhoods with a higher income level. This is the case of all those in the Eixample, with the exception of Sant Antoni, where the commons are the first force.

Trias also wins in all the neighborhoods of the Corts and Sarrià-Sant Gervasi districts, as well as some of Gràcia, such as Vallcarca and la Salut, Guinardó and other territories with a higher per capita income, such as Vila Poblenou Olympic.

The Socialists regain power in their old fiefdoms, which in previous contests, whether municipal or regional, had opted for Ciudadanos or BComú. In general, these are areas with incomes below the city average, like most of the neighborhoods in the Sant Martí district or all of the Nou Barris. In Ciutat Vella, Barceloneta also falls on the socialist side.

In general terms, the neighborhoods in which Ada Colau revalidates her best results are those of Ciutat Vella (in the Raval she surpasses the Socialists by 500 votes), Sant Antoni in the Eixample, and neighborhoods with a strong sense of identity such as Sants, Hostafrancs , Vila de Gràcia or El Clot, to name a few examples. These are in most cases middle-income neighborhoods.

It is interesting to see what has happened in some neighborhoods that have recently been in the media spotlight. For example, Bonanova, where Trias is the clear winner with 5,215 votes, followed at a great distance by the PP (2,058), the PSC (1,494) and Vox, which tried to instrumentalize the squatting conflict with 1,127 votes.

In the neighborhoods affected by the superblock projects, Dreta de l’Eixample, l’Antiga Esquerra de l’Eixample and Nova Esquerra de l’Eixample, Trias’s candidacy is a clear winner, although Colau’s list achieves some good results, even better than in other elections, and is in second position.

The neighborhood where Trias collects its best results is the Tres Torres (42.4%) and the worst is Ciutat Meridiana (4.1%). The best record of Collboni is that of Canyelles and Roquetes (36.7%) and the worst is 10.8% of Pedralbes.

Regarding Ada Colau’s list, she triumphed above all in Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera (31.9%) and failed, as is tradition, in Pedralbes (4.2%).

For ERC, the best neighborhood is Barceloneta (17.7%), which barely gets votes in Pedralbes (3.4%).

The PP also achieves its best figures in Pedralbes (22.7%) and its worst in Vila de Gràcia (4.4%), while Vox, which will debut in Barcelona City Council with two councillors, is successful in neighborhoods low-income, such as Torre Baró (16.2%) and Baró de Viver (15.8%) and only got 2.3% in Vila de Gràcia.
