The entry into politics of the drummer from Els Pets, Joan Reig, heading the list of Esquerra in the municipality of Constantí in Tarragona, has not left anyone indifferent. And less now that he has made a curious promise if he manages to be mayor.
His candidacy was confirmed by himself via Twitter with an advertising video, where he also acknowledged having received this proposal a long time ago but had not wanted to take the step until this year 2023.
The phrase. "If I am mayor, I shave to zero." Reig's commitment seems firm. His long hair has been part of his image for almost 40 years of his musical career. It would really be a radical change that he is willing to make, he stressed, if he wins the mayoralty.
The context. During his usual collaboration in the Islàndia de Rac1 program, the Esquerra candidate promised to "put an end to a theater that has had a structure for more than ten years." Far from remaining in political promises, Joan Reig confessed that he would cut his hair and beard to zero if he was elected, something important to him, since he has not done so since the military.
