The European Parliament forced Junts MEP Toni Comín to withdraw on Tuesday a photograph of the illegal 1-O referendum that appears in an exhibition within the Eurochamber that had not been included in the previous dossier for approval, the person in charge informed EFE to authorize the samples in this institution.
"As quaestor responsible for authorizing exhibitions, I have asked MEP Comín to remove the image as it was not part of the dossier he submitted for authorization. Was this a deliberate omission on his part or a genuine error? Hasen asked that the photograph, which shows a group of people carrying an urn, be removed before 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
EFE was able to verify that at that time several members of the Comín team were preparing to remove the photograph.
The complaint about the existence of this unauthorized photograph reached the quaestors by Ciudadanos, according to the group itself in a statement.
"Puigdemont and Comín have dared to make a statement to legitimize the events of 2017, contrary to the values on which the Union is based," said MEP Maite Pagaza in the note, who recalled that all the European institutions "supported democratic Spain after the crimes of the procés".
