PP and Vox seek an agreement in Burgos and Valladolid, where the left won

The PSOE was the party with the most votes in Burgos and in Valladolid on May 28. However, PP and Vox, whose combined representation exceeds that of the Socialists, are negotiating, ten days after the constitution of the municipalities on June 17, a government, either in coalition or with external support.

In the case of Burgos, the current acting mayor, the socialist Daniel de la Rosa, offered the PP a government pact, but the candidate, Cristina Ayala, has ruled it out while admitting that she has maintained contacts with the extreme right to form a government. In Valladolid, the talks between PP and Vox were opened after the elections, but for the moment no agreement has been made public.

The extreme right, which aspired to greater weight, will not abstain during the investiture and warned that they will be "more demanding" than up to now. After yesterday's meeting between Chueca and the Vox spokesman in the City Council, Julio Calvo, the popular He assured that an expectation "that does not correspond to reality" has been generated, since his intention has always been to govern alone with the external support of the radicals, as has happened during the last four years. It is "the most appropriate formula" to continue working, he said, especially given the results of the polls, which have left only one councilor with an absolute majority, reports Ismael Arana.
