The President of the Government and PSOE candidate for re-election, Pedro Sánchez, voted this Sunday, accompanied by his wife, Begoña Gómez, at the Nuestra Señora del Buen Consejo school in Madrid.
Sánchez arrived at the polling station shortly after 9 a.m., once the polling stations had been set up and when the first voters had already arrived.
The leader of the PSOE exercised his right before a wide expectation of national and international graphic media that met at this school near the Moncloa Palace, which was also attended by some socialist sympathizers to applaud him with shouts of "president, president" and some shouts of complaints.
The socialist candidate has encouraged that there be "the largest of the participations, the largest of the mobilizations" before this electoral appointment and that it be "historic" so that the Government that comes out of the polls is "strong" and Spain can advance during the next four years.
He has affirmed that he has "good vibrations", but has insisted that it is the voice of the citizens that must decide today.
The president of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will go to vote at the Ramiro de Maeztu school, on Calle Serrano in Madrid, at 11:30 a.m. As reported by the PP, Feijóo will later attend the media.
The leader of the PP closed his campaign on Friday in A Coruña, a city where he also spent the day of reflection with his family and where he walked and went shopping with his wife, before moving to Madrid to exercise his right to vote.
The second vice president of the Government and Sumar's candidate to preside over it, Yolanda Díaz, plans to also go to her polling station in Madrid at midmorning to exercise her right to vote.
