Page's twin brother withdraws due to what is happening with the "new PSOE"

Javier García-Page, twin brother of the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, has left the PSOE because the party's drift in recent years and especially what is happening at the moment make it "incompatible" his militancy with this "new PSOE".

Javier García-Page has communicated this decision to the general secretary of the Socialist Group of Toledo, Milagros Tolón, in a letter dated November 4, the day on which the consultation with the militancy on the PSOE government pacts with other political formations, and that today has been made known to the media.

In this letter, the brother of the Castilian-La Mancha president points out that his decision to leave is "immediate and without the possibility of changing his mind."

And he tells the secretary of the Toledo PSOE that he hopes that she and the rest of the colleagues know how to "understand that the drift of the party in recent years and especially what is happening at this moment, and what will undoubtedly happen, It makes my socialist values and principles incompatible with militancy in this 'new PSOE' and my convictions can only be expressed outside of it."

"I will continue to be a socialist," however, the brother of the regional president and general secretary of the socialists of Castilla-La Mancha ends up saying in his letter.

While his brother leaves the socialist formation, Emiliano García-Page, has asked for respect for his party, "the one that has fought the most for freedom in Spain."

Through a message written on his profile on the social network "Imitating the violent people in Catalonia now attacking the PSOE headquarters is like minimizing what happened there."

"I ask for respect for a party that was persecuted and had to endure clandestinity and that is the one that has fought the most for freedom in Spain," said García-Page.

This Monday, hundreds of people demonstrated in front of the PSOE headquarters in Toledo and Albacete to protest against the amnesty for those involved in the 'procés' and against the investiture of Pedro Sánchez.

In Madrid, a group of protesters, some hooded and wearing masks, lit flares, firecrackers and threw smoke canisters shouting "Not a step back!" or "we are going to burn the PSOE headquarters", to which the riot police had to act.
