Militants and local officials of Podem ask to come together in Sumar and border the regional leadership

A manifesto signed by militants and local officials of Podem in the Valencian Community (such as that of the Alicante spokesman or the candidates in Elx and Moncofa) has broken the silence in the purple organization to demand "integration into a broad confluence structured from Sumar, to through primaries at the provincial level that guarantee that the final decision rests with the bases of Podem".

In full negotiation with Yolanda Díaz's platform, these charges demand an agreement that achieves the unity of the left before the imminent electoral appointment of 23-J. But not only that, they also ask that the current leadership of the party in the Valencian Community "immediately assume responsibility for the results obtained." Some results that they do not hesitate to describe as "disastrous".

The electoral debacle that has left Podem without parliamentary representation in the Valencian Community by not exceeding the 5% bar (they remained at 3.5%) and with less than 30 councilors throughout the territory, has caused the first reaction of a part of the bases. Thus, the manifesto claims "that the people who have managed the municipal agreements and the campaign for the regional elections cannot be in charge of this new appointment with the polls, neither in the planning nor in the lists."

The manifesto points directly to the regional coordinator, Pilar Lima and the person in charge of Organization, Carles Fons, whom they accuse of a "constant and repeated abandonment of local circles and of the political action carried out at the municipal level by our institutional representatives". .

But they do not stop there, they also point to María Teresa Pérez, current deputy and co-spokesperson for Podem, who was chosen number one for the Alicante candidacy, but who resigned shortly before presenting the final lists. "Nor [can they be at the forefront] those who, using data that the rest of the organization could intuit but with which it did not count, jumped from the regional candidacy a little less than a month after the vote, leaving all the burden to colleagues and colleagues who have given the best of themselves despite the circumstances"

This last criticism is not trivial, since Pérez, general director of Youth in the Government is the main bet of the purple ones to integrate into some hypothetical Sumar lists.

Despite the harshness of the manifesto, from the regional leadership they have limited themselves to pointing out: "We are in the last phase of Sumar negotiations and we are going to maintain discretion on everything related to it"
