Mazón elects the director of the IVF and the president of the Port of Castellón and continues without touching Emergencies

The Valencian Government has appointed in its plenary session this Thursday the PP deputy, Rubén Ibáñez as president of the Castellón Port Authority and Enrique Montes as director of the Valencian Institute of Finance, replacing Manuel Illueca. These appointments have taken place in a plenary session that has served to complete the third step (general directorates) but that has not been used to relieve the Botànic positions in the management of emergencies.

The Minister of Justice and the Interior, Elisa Núñez (from Vox), already warned yesterday that I stated that both the regional secretary for Emergencies, José María Ángel, and the general director of the Interior, Salvador Almenar, both appointed by the Botànic, will continue in their positions "temporarily and transitorily" given the adverse circumstances of this summer.

Despite the fact that both have requested their dismissal in writing so that the new executive can implement the policies he deems appropriate, Nuñez considers that in the midst of a heat wave and given the high risk of fires, it is not convenient to carry out this replacement. A question that he has raised to the PSPV.

Yes, the appointment of the PP deputy, Rubén Ibáñez, has taken place in plenary session. This parliamentarian, the voice of the group in Les Corts in matters of finance and budgets, had a lot of prominence during the Isabel Bonig period and it seemed that now he was losing steam in the new organization chart of Carlos Mazón. All in all, his good work in the Chamber has helped him become the new president of the Port of Castellón.

For his part, Enrique Montes will once again direct the Valencian Institute of Finance, which he already led between 2012 and 2014, a position he left to be the regional Secretary of Finance and Budgets until the PP lost the elections in 2015. Montes has been linked to the PP since 1998 IVF and, since 2018 (already with the Botànic), until now he was deputy director of European Funds.
