FLEMINGTON - Adolfo Reyes-Aguayo, 39, of the borough, has been sentenced to three years in state prison after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.

He is subject to deportation after prison because of an ICE detainer that is in place from the U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III said.

Reyes-Aguayo pled guilty on Jan. 9 and was sentenced on Friday by Superior Court Judge Angela F. Borkowski.

He had been arrested in July of 2016 after a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office Special Victim's Unit and the Flemington Police Department revealed he was in possession of child pornography, according to a news release.

"The exploitation of children is a heinous and devastating crime," Kearns said. "The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office is committed to apprehending child predators and ensuring that there are serious consequences for those who commit crimes against children."
