'La Vanguardia' launches an interactive to find the most similar mayor

With just two months to go until the municipal elections, La Vanguardia is publishing an interactive platform on its website today for readers to discover which Barcelona mayor they have the most affinity with. The interactive developed by the public affairs consultancy Public Affairs Experts asks 15 questions about the main topics of debate in the Catalan capital and provides five answer options that reproduce a phrase from one of the mayoral candidates. When the questionnaire is finished, which can be done in Catalan and Spanish, the user will be able to visualize the degree of affinity with the mayors according to four thematic blocks: economy, infrastructure and mobility, life in the city and society and environment.

The city model, squatting, insecurity, cleanliness, housing, tourism. the economic model, pollution, social exclusion, tactical urban planning, the expansion of the airport or traffic are the focus of some of the questions. Among the five answers that are proposed, the user must choose the option with which they feel most identified.

The platform is now active

https://lavanguardia.elecciones.barcelona/i will be available until the day before the elections on May 28. For the selection of the questions, different surveys, barometers and studies have been evaluated from which the four thematic blocks have been defined.

Once the questionnaire has been completed, the user will be able to view the percentage of affinity with the candidate that best represents their voting intention, both at a general level and by thematic axis. Users who want to take this survey must identify themselves with their age, gender, district and neighborhood where they live and will be able to share the results on their social networks. The information will be processed and made public in political intelligence articles and analysis.
