Fran Perea reunites 'Los Serrano' twenty years after the premiere of the series

Fran Perea shakes the journalist's hand, communicating with his strength and appearance that he is far from that young and somewhat gullible Marcos Serrano who made him famous. The actor, musician and producer from Malaga is training for the second season of Kosta: The Paradise. In this series he plays a sharp police officer tasked with investigating a succession of crimes on the Costa del Sol within the largest community of Finnish citizens outside of Finland. Perea has won over the years. He has also grown as a professional in the cultural industry, as he is part of the company that owns Teatros Luchana, which also manages the Quique San Francisco and Pavón de Madrid theaters. He puts money and effort into putting works on stage (in fact, he created his own company, Feelgood Teatro) and feels adrenaline when he goes on stage with his guitar. Today he's doing it again: this Friday, April 21, he's starting the tour with the album Uno más uno son 20, coinciding with the premiere of the Los Serrano series. Despistaos, Ana Guerra, Álvaro Benito, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Ginebras, Bely Basarte and Rayden collaborate on the album, and in the clip we can see Verónica Sánchez, his girlfriend in the series and ex-partner in real life .

The pianist Víctor Elías, who played his brother Guille in the fiction and is today a sought-after musical director, participates in this project. He was the first to answer Francisquín Perea's call, but not the only one: the seven members of the family that formed Belén Rueda and Antonio Resines take part in the video clip of the main theme. If you followed the series back in the day, trust this advice: you need to see the reunion.

"I remember those years with great affection. It was a crazy time, because it changes your life almost overnight. When you decide to dedicate yourself to this, you are not able to imagine that your life will pass through a phenomenon like Los Serrano. This implies good things and others that are not so good, but I stay with the positive part of the story. Without a doubt, I appreciate everything that he has given me afterwards”. Fran had to accept that success made him a figure in the tabloids. Especially, because of his relationship in real life with Verónica Sánchez, who played his beloved Eva in the series: "Imagine being monitored 24 hours a day and not being able to live a life without someone in front of the house with a camera . These are very uncomfortable situations for which you are not prepared, and even more so if you have not favored it or traded with your life. For a while it was a nuisance."

The actor maintains an excellent relationship with his former colleagues, especially with Víctor Elías: "We did the play Fedra together, in which we were brothers again, and we have always been connected. Víctor used to say to me: 'Call me, call me, I want to be your pianist', so in 2018 I asked him to collaborate on my album Viaje a la palabra , and we produced the current one together . There is a lot of affection between all of us, we keep crossing paths in life, and we even have a chat, 'The family': we experienced something unique together and we have a special bond".

Why would anyone advance their time, money and effort when they could live more comfortably just as an actor or singer? "Producing in the cultural sector is a risky sport, because you invest a lot of money and no one can guarantee that the public will go to see a work or that the tour will go well. But it is my sector and I want to invest in it; I do it with affection and jobs are created".
