The mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, announced this Wednesday that the capital's City Council will begin the work of burying the A-5 at Paseo de Extremadura and covering the M-30 as it passes through the Ventas neighborhood “starting next year.”
He pointed this out at the press conference after the Government Meeting, in which he appeared to report on the approval of the draft budget, where he did not give more details about the costs or the specific start of these works.
This is a large-scale infrastructure that the municipal PP has been saying for some time that it had to be carried out to decongest traffic on said road and avoid the heavy traffic jams that occur on key dates, such as bridges.
