Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tests positive for Covid-19

Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, announced Monday that he had tested positive for Covid-19. This announcement came just days after he met President Joe Biden.

Trudeau has been positive for the virus twice in the past year.

"I feel fine, but that's because my shots are good. Trudeau tweeted, "Get vaccinated if possible, and if possible, get boosted."

Trudeau and Biden met in a bilateral meeting at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles on Thursday.

According to the White House, the two discussed the Russian attack on Ukraine and their joint efforts to strengthen our supply chains and economies against external shocks.

On Friday, the pair took a "family picture" with other summit leaders.

According to a spokesperson for the White House, the 79-year old Biden is considered to be a "close contact" with the prime minister. He is more at risk due his age.

Trudeau also met Nancy Pelosi, 82-year old House Speaker, on Friday. They were photographed together holding hands and standing close to one another without wearing masks.
