To go further in the 'X Factor' meant something very special to 'Kali', which the last year has turned his life completely upside down.

the Abuse started when I was in late teens. I have always bokset much, and I would like to be the new Mike Tyson. But as I approached my 18th birthday, I got a push in my left shoulder, and it did, I got an injury which meant I couldn't boxes and a half years, and that I should keep myself totally calm, he says to Ekstra Bladet, and continues:

- I did not a damn thing and started to hang out with any of the boys. The one took the other, and I was then introduced to the hash, and it quickly became an addiction for me, I was never really back to boxing again.

the Abuse of marijuana quickly gathered momentum, and soon became hashen replaced by the harder drugs.

- My abuse developed. I don't know why. It was just easy for me to get it. It was too easy for me, and it was everyday. I began to take cocaine, and later it developed also into a alcohol abuse.

According to the 'Kali' was the abuse to last so bad, that he was about to lose everything he had loved. Also his daughter, who at that time was four years.

Danish well-known - 27. dec. 2019 - at. 18:31 Therefore he moves: - I can't keep it off

It ended of course with that I lost my apartment and car and everything, because I couldn't keep track of something. There came my wakeup call. I could risk losing my daughter, and I could not cope, he says, and continues:

It dawned on me that I had chosen to do all sorts of things other than to be with her. I was selfish, and I ran around with blinkers on.

Therefore opted for the 'Kali' to get help to get on the detox through the municipality.

- I had completely away, and I would like somewhere where I do not know anyone, and where I could not get hold of anything. After a month I got a place at a afvænningscenter on the island of Bornholm. There I was in four months, and I have been clean ever since, " he says with a smile.

- I do not go to AA meetings or something, and I keeps me clean. It can be difficult here at christmas and the new year, but I keep myself from the environments and the people who surround themselves with drugs and alcohol, and I use all the time on my daughter instead. I have it good and have never actually had it better, he says and stresses that he is proud of where he's reached today:

It was a bad period, but I am proud that I have coped with it and has come out on the other side, and I hope that my story can be inspiration for others who are struggling with abuse.

Just the fact that he has come out of his abuse, gave Kali the extra motivation to sign up for 'X Factor' and try out his music.

I have always been a bit big city compared to sign me to the 'X Factor', for I come from the underground, and in the hiphop environment, I move in, it is not so unwelcome to join the 'X Factor', but I thought, 'Fuck it - now I take the chance', and I'm glad. I don't care what others say and think, he says, and adds:

- For 'the X Factor' has been a really great experience for me.
