The Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki is on to the semifinals of the WTA tournament ASB Classic in Auckland in New Zealand.
Early Friday morning, Danish time, German Julia Görges defeated with 6-1, 6-4 by Wozniacki, who has announced that she will stop his career after the Australian Open later in January.
After the fight opened Wozniacki, however, that she could return the next year, when she was asked if she would accept an invitation to the tournament in Auckland in 2021:
- If Serena (Williams, ed.) would like to play doubles, said Caroline Wozniacki with a laugh.
Julia Görges came to the fight as the defending champion in Auckland, and had beaten Wozniacki twice earlier in the tournament, no later than 2018.
It seemed not to bother Wozniacki, who came windy from the start with strong server and quickly came at 3-0.
Görges only managed to get a batch in the set, when she reduced to 1-3. Then took Wozniacki again three sets in a row and won the set easily 6-1.

They beat a lot of balls far out of the track and couldn't get her usually strong serve is in time.
In the second set was Julia Görges much better with and seemed keen to defend his title.
The two kamphaner, who had met ten times in the past, with six wins for Wozniacki, went down and held serve to 3-3.
Here it went wrong for Görges with multiple unprovoked punches and a double faults, which meant that Wozniacki broke to 4-3.
from Here, kept the players on their server, and thus be able to Caroline Wozniacki have their hands in the air with victory at 6-1, 6-4 without being broken.
In the semi-final awaits the 25-year-old american Jessica Pegula, who beat Alizé Cornet with a 6-0, 3-2, when the frenchman withdrew.
Pegula is number 82 in the world and has not previously played against Wozniacki.
Wozniacki has announced that she retires from the sport after the Australian Open, which starts on the 20. January.
