The government is ready with the study of Støjberg

the Government is ready to set up a commission to formally investigate the case of Inger Støjbergs, vice-president of the Left, the separation of asylpar.

It informs the ministry of Justice on Tuesday.

- We have agreed on a draft terms of reference relating to the instruction of the separation of accommodation in the asylum system. I have therefore today sent the draft terms of reference to Parliament, says justice minister Nick Hækkerup (S) in a press release.

A commission has been expected. Already during the negotiations on the forståelsespapiret, where støttepartierne in the summer let the Social democrats form the government, it was a requirement.

In september, it emerged that the government together with The Radicals, SF, Unity and the Alternative was agreed to set up a commission.

the Case deals with the separation of the asylpar, where one party was a minor. It happened under the then immigration and integration minister Inger Støjberg.

There has been raised the suspicion that the Inger Støjberg intentionally gave an illegal instruction to separate the asylpar without making an individual assessment.

Inger Støjberg bad 10. February 2016 asylum centres, to ensure that no asylum-seekers under 18 years of age were accommodated together with a spouse.

It led to the 23 pairs were separated, but the ministry had to change the instruction. After about a year, criticised the Ombudsman of the order and declared that it was illegal to discard the pairs ad automatically.

There are, according to Danish and international conventions to be an individual treatment.

One of the key questions is therefore, whether Støjberg and the ministry knew, that the first instruction was illegal.

OVERVIEW: Støjberg shall be investigated for the separation of asylpar

There shall be established a commission to examine Inger Støjbergs, vice-president of the Left, illegal separation of asylpar, one of whom was a minor.

the Instruction was unlawful because the pairs had requirements on individual assessment. Instrukskommissionen will have two years to investigate the case, which started in 2016.

Here you can read more about the case:

* In a press release issued 10. February 2016 from Aliens affairs and Integration was the foreign office message to asylpar should be separated, if one party was under the age of 18 years.

* the Instruction has since been labeled as illegal by the Parliamentary Ombudsman. A separation would require an individual assessment of the couple concerned.

* Several media outlets have written that the then aliens and integration minister Inger Støjberg (V) was warned that it could be illegal to separate the pairs. She has rejected.

* Inger Støjberg has explained, that on the same day that the instruction was sent, were the foreign office informed that there would be reservations in relation to the instruction. It has internal mails since cast into doubt.

* A syrian asylpar was by the Copenhagen city Court in march awarded the 20,000 kroner in compensation, because they were tvangsadskilt in 2016. At that time the woman was 17 years and heavily pregnant. The man was 26 years old.

It is a total red block, there are agreed terms of reference, which sets out the direction for the commission of inquiry.

That added up to that, the commission must deliver its report within two years after the reduction.

- It is not very much usually for a commission of inquiry, says spokesman Kristian Hegaard (R).

- It is an important signal we're sending, that we must have uncovered and studied it here to the bottom as soon as possible, he says.

- How serious is this case with Inger Støjberg seen with your eyes?

- It is potentially very serious, because it's all about confidence in the political system.

- Both the officials and the politicians must of course comply with the law, they themselves have adopted. If they do not do it, it creates a huge distrust between the population and the political system, says Kristian Hegaard.

Yet members, to be appointed. It will only happen after any political discussion.
