FC Copenhagen downloaded before the start of the season two new goalkeepers in the form of Norwegian Sten Grytebust and the Swedish Karl-Johan Johnsson.
the Latter has been manager Stale Solbakkens favorite since september, and Thursday he showed himself by saving a penalty kick in the 1-1 match against Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League.
Grytebust has been suffering with an injury, but after the Norwegian has returned, he has often been to find on the bench. And here he can also get to spend much of the coming time.
- It is difficult to see that he (Johnsson, eds.) not to play the next matches. He has played really, really well and have good self-esteem, says Stale Solbakken.
the 29-year-old Johnsson came to FCK from the French Guingamp. He has previously played in the Superliga for Randers.
He was brought to FCK two days before the sæsonpremieren towards the OB, where he took a seat on the bench, but since he has played himself into the heat, and in the Europa League-group stage he has been all of the matches.
- I got the square, before the Stone was damaged, so I don't know if the idea was that I would take over. He was injured, so I played more. But I think I've shown what I can. I hope that they like my grades, and I play more matches, he says.
With matches in the premier League, Europe and cup he sees no problem in that Grytebust also get playing time, as was the case when the Norwegian kept the goal in last week's pokalkamp against FC Nordsjælland.
- We have many matches, and I know that Stale would like to have, that both goalies will get matches.
- of Course, one will always play. But I have understanding for it, when you play so many matches. If the Stones play in some of the upcoming matches, so I will just work hard and know that I will get the chance in more matches, says Karl-Johan Johnsson.
Johnsson has a contract until the summer of 2023, while the Grytebusts contract runs until the end of 2022.
