the 130 guests was something of shock when the Sunday participated in the annual wine tasting with a large cheese platter on Merlot in Vejle, denmark, as holder of the Egon Aaberg, announced that it was the restaurant's last day.
It writes the Vejle Amts Folkeblad.
- I have chosen to close, because I I got a tap on the shoulder, when I for a year and a half ago got a blood clot in the heart. I got the advice that it was not wise to continue to work around the clock, and therefore, I have not even been in the restaurant as much as in the past, says David Aaberg.
the 53-year-old Egon Aaberg has operated the restaurant since 1991 - the latest year in Skyttehusgade. He put it for sale in the summer, and Friday of last week was a purchase agreement written below.
- It is strange that I won't be down in the restaurant again, but fortunately, it is not a decision I have been squeezed out of the kreditforeningen or the other, says Jørgen Aaberg.
According to Vejle Amts Folkeblad the new owners have plans to tear the more than 120-year old property down.
