Finance minister Nicolai Wammen (S) becomes a father to a boy, and therefore will he the next 14 days be on maternity leave.

It informs the ministry of Finance on Tuesday.

In a posting on Facebook writes the minister of finance:

'Karen and I have experienced one of life's great miracles: We have been parents to an amazing boy at 50 cm and 3480 grams. Our lovely little Christian', he writes.

'Now we can look forward to 14 common lovely days with the baby before I return to the office again in the beginning of February. Later there will be the opportunity for more maternity leave for both the mother and father'.

It is not apparent from the ad, when his son Christian was born, but according to the Aarhus Stiftstidende found the birth place on Monday night.

Nicolai Wammens tasks to and with 3. February to general, rasmussen, Morten Bødskov (S), as in the period will be the acting minister of finance.

Nicolai Wammen is married to Karen Lund Wammen. They said yes to each other in 2016 in Aarhus Cathedral.

He already has a son, Carl, with his generals Julie Rademacher. The son lives in Greenland with her mother.
