Mega-asteroid whizzing past the Earth in the night

A huge asteroid named 2000 QW7 passing on Saturday evening the Earth. It is estimated to have a diameter of between 290 and 650 meters. It is roughly just as far as the world's second highest building, the Shanghai Tower in China.

It writes CNN.

2000 QW7 passes with a distance of 5.3 million kilometers and a speed of 23.111 kilometers an hour. NASA does not consider the asteroid as dangerous, but follows it closely.

It is expected to pass at 01.54 local time on the night of Sunday

NASA could be as late as June share how they are using telescopes in Hawaii to spot asteroids that have direction towards Earth in time, so people have the opportunity to move from the place where the beats down.

It happened with the asteroid 2019 MO, who was seen several times by the telescopes around midnight the, 22. June, when it was the 500,000 kilometers from the Earth. The size of the stone was about four metres, and it was therefore not a danger, but were dissolved in the atmosphere.

It came to pass, however, first, the subsequent morning, which had been plenty of time to evacuate, if the asteroid had been a dangerous size.

the Hawaii telescopes, ATLAS, is expected to be able to predict similar cases in the future.
