Lonely man buried: A cat was the only guest

When a lonely man would bisættes and be buried in Stockholm, Sweden, showed that neither family or friends up to bisættelsen in Hoppets Chapel on Skogskyrkagården in Stockholm.

in addition to the priest, the organist and bedemandsfirmaet, however, there was a single being, who wanted to say a last farewell to the lonely man. A red cat had placed themselves on a bench in the chapel, and here he lay during most of the bisættelsen.

It writes multiple media, including Expressen and Dagens Nyheter

- It was absolutely magical. We cried all together, tells Maria Nestorzon from bedemandsfirmaet Funeral Begravningsbyrå.

The touching story actually took place way back in the beginning of 2010. But now it has become current again, because the priest Katarina Wolf in the last week wrote a letter to Dagens Nyheter, where she revives the extraordinary event and, among other things, writes the following:

'some years ago buried I a man who lacked both family members and friends. The only thing I knew about the man was that he loved animals. The staff at the home, where he had lived, explained that the walls of his room were filled with pictures of all kinds of animals.'

Maria Nestorzon from bedemandsfirmaet Funeral Begravningsbyrå tells of the day to Expressen, that she clearly recalled bisættelsen.

- It is always sad when that doesn't show anybody up for a funeral. Waiting for a neighbor or a good friend to show up. But in this case showed no up.

Out in front of the chapel, Maria got Nestorzon however, the eye of a cat, who sat on one of the benches, where family members and friends tend to settle down just before bisættelsen.

- For me and the priest felt it then, quite naturally, to open the doors to the chapel, and then went the cat with the confident step into the chapel, where it stayed during the whole ceremony. It was completely magical. We cried, all three. I, the priest and the organist, tells Maria Nestorzon.

In læserbrevet to "Dagens Nyheter" writes the priest Katarina Wolf also, that cat, first laid themselves under the altar, before it subsequently went slowly around the coffin. Then found a seat on a bench in the chapel.

When the ceremony was over, were its doors opened again, and then it disappeared the cat just as quickly as it had come.

- It felt almost a little mysterious. But we know that they know other cases have sprung up at skogskyrkogården cemetary.

the Priest Katarina Wolf concludes his letter thus:

'When I bury a lonely man, I usually have to strain a little extra. But this time I got help to do it.'

Katarina Wolf has also put the following spread out on his Facebook about the case:
