The Danish musician Timi Hansen is dead.
the Bassist from the illustrious heavy metal bands Mercyful Fate and King Diamond died yesterday of cancer. He was 61.

In august revealed Timi Hansen that he was suffering from cancer and therefore would not help, when the Mercyful Fate re-emerges next year on, among other things, the Danish metalfestival Copenhell.
Mercyful Fate is considered as the most important Danish metal band ever, and their occult heavy metal inspired, among others, Metallica and Slayer.
Timi Hansen starred among other things, on the group's major works, the 'Melissa' and 'Don't Break the Oath', which appeared in the first half of the 1980s.

When Mercyful Fate went into solution the first time, in 1985, was the bassist also briefly a part of King Diamond's new band, which the singer named after himself.
In the King Diamond tribute, he calls Timi Hansen for his favoritbassist ever'.
