Have you also wondered? Therefore, sweat all in The Great Bagedyst

- damn it, here is hot.

this is a recurring phrase in 'The big bagedyst'.

Ekstra Bladet has spoken with the editor of 'The big bagedyst' Søren Olsen. He says that the heat plays a role in the actual planning of the competition.

- We are trying in fact to prepare trainees in the best possible way with regard to the heat. Now it's not a thing that we, as such, are grappling with in the program. But we tell the participants that they need to consider how heat can be challenging for their bageværk. So we say to them; 'remember that it can be hot'.

But why can the DR not with their licensbetalte crowns provide the participants with better conditions to bake under?

- Well, there may be better conditions than we have. We have the right fans, our venting is good, and we is the dry ice up, so that participants can keep their cakes cold. We structure the competition so that a theme such as chocolate can be challenging for the participants, e.g. if they need to melt a part. That we ask ourselves: 'it May here be done?'. That is why we have always in our considerations in relation to the secret challenge among other things. But it is a level playing field for all.

Could it be considered, that In the left to hold the competition in a tent?

- No, it is simply too big a part of the program's DNA. It will be filmed at a park in the months of april, may and June. 'The big bagedyst' is a summer program which will be sent throughout the autumn. If we were to record it in another period, would the weather not be as pleasant and nice filming.

But many of your participants complain that it can get TOO hot in the tent?

- We do a lot to accommodate that, but it happens not very often, that they can't keep it out. Last year was a somewhat warmer summer, and we were also nervous during the production period; for, that we may have to make on some of the challenges in the challenge, for it could well become a problem. But we took it. For years it has been a milder summer, so the heat has not been a problem.
