Great comeback: I have missed the Park

Regardless of whether he is on the pitch or the bench, will be on Thursday evening something very special for Ragnar Sigurdsson.

He turns back to the Park. Back on the course where he has had so many good memories from the two and a half years at FC Copenhagen.

- seeing it again with the Park I have really been looking forward to for a long time. And of course it will be something special, if I must play in such a big match. My form is fine and I'm ready for the challenge, says Ragnar Sigurdsson.

It is more than six years ago, he played his latest match in the Park. It was a 10. december 2013, since FCK lost 0-2 to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Thursday night, the two make a comeback after a journey that has led him far and wide: Krasnodar, Fulham, Rubin Kazan and Rostov, before he in the beginning of the year returned ’home’ to FCK on a deal, only run the season out.

The latest days of training points in the direction of that Stale Solbakken does not hesitate to throw the 33-year-old icelandic in the match against the scottish champions, Celtic.

- Andreas Bjelland don't play against Celtic. He needs one week more training, the same applies Sotirios Papagiannopoulos, who has been in a better physical constitution.

- It may well be imagined, we throw Ragnar into against Celtic. He played 45 fine minutes the other day on reserveholdet and has looked better and better the last time, says Stale Solbakken to Ekstra Bladet.

on Tuesday, played the two also on the right team, with Victor Nelsson as his partner in central defense. There is no doubt, Victor Nelsson, one of the two stoppere. He has looked strong in the start-up.

Just a fight against a physically strong Celtic-crew will also fit really well to Ragnar Sigurdsson. The two are a physically strong player who always sacrifices herself in dueling and never turns up in the field.

the 33-year-old Ragnar Sigurdsson feels he has much to prove in the coming three months, the contract with FCK runs.

- FCK has shown me trust by giving me a deal. Now I shall prove, that it was a real choice of Stale Solbakken, explains Ragnar Sigurdsson and elaborates:

- It is a very big motivation for me to play in PARKEN. The club has a very special place in my heart. In recent years I have lacked klubfølelsen. I loved Rostov, but Fulham and Rubin Kazan was not the best of experiences. For me I am the best club I ever played in. I have got great feelings to both the club, the fans and the city, recognizing the two.

So great to Ragnar Sigurdsson, bought an apartment in Copenhagen, when he played in FCK for more than six years ago.

He just couldn't move into it, when he returned in January.

I have rented it out and expected are not equal, that I am here and now come to Copenhagen. Therefore, I have rented a second apartment.

- I have a short contract, but right now I focus not on what needs to happen for the summer. I can only think of to make it as good as possible. And my focus is that we must defeat Celtic, he states.
