Criticised from all sides: the Boss talking about Eriksen-crisis

in recent seasons, he has largely been one of tottenham's best each and every time, the London crew is gone from the track, but since the summer holidays have Christian Eriksen rather had to fight not to be one of the worst.

It has led to a great deal of criticism, but the dane's argentine manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is determined not agree with the criticism. In that case, he hides it extremely well.

At Tuesday's press conference ahead of the Champions League match against Red Star on Wednesday, he was specifically asked as to why Eriksen continues to play from the start despite the bad performance.

- I do not think that the Christian's performance is different than when we bought him for five and a half years ago. I do not think it is a difference. His dedication is the same as five years ago, and I'm happy for him, said Pochettino.

Christian Eriksen has otherwise been fierce criticism of the performance in the past. Particularly against Liverpool and recently against Everton on Sunday afternoon, where the dane had uncharacteristically many boldtab and basically didn't contribute anything to tottenham's offensive.

It has been a part of Tottenham fans to demand Eriksen on the bench, because it chains the volatility of performance, together with his desire for a new challenge and the impending end of contract. But the buyer Pochettino not.

- We are looking too much on whether players have a four - or five-year contract. In the end it is all about dedication. Maybe the players in their last contract year more dedicated than a player with four years left.

- I'm happy with Christian. When you see Christian, and you compare him with the different seasons, so is he the same play, says Pochettino with clear reference to Eriksen, whose contract, as you know, will expire next summer.
