Even the biggest star can fall heavily.
It was MMA-lovers to see the night of Sunday at the 'UFC on ESPN' in Washington DC.
Here stood the hovedkampen between Dutch Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik from Suriname. A match that was dominated by the dutchman, who, after the first four rounds led 4-0 and had the fight in the hollow of his hand.
Rozenstruik however, had it hard and gasped several times for breath and in desperation he went after the battle, that could give him a victory.
It came with a few seconds left of the fight. Here Rozenstruik swung a heavy right directly into Overeems face. The battle was so powerful and hit so fortunate - or unfortunate - to hollænderens lip literally was cleaved.
Overeem went in the floor, while overlæbens now two pieces blafrede in each direction and bared teeth. The referee waived it Dan Miragliotta rushed to and stopped Overeem four seconds before time

While Jairzinho Rozenstruik rejoiced over his shock victory, came Alistair Overeem on his legs and tried to laugh about it all. But it was difficult, as the lip is not supplied. He looked more like a hybrid between the Joker and Two-Face from the Batman films.
He was rushed to the hospital, where the toned department came in overtime:

The 39-year-old dutchman, who before his career in the UFC has been champion in both K1, Strikeforce and Dream, has twice earned the right to fight for the sværvægtstitlen in the UFC. The first time he came not in battle, when he failed a drug test while he was a second time lost to Stipe Miocic.
He is now listed for the 45 victories, 18 defeats and 1 no contest in 64 MMA fights.
Victor Jairzinho Rozenstruik, who participated in the fight, Walt Harris, whose step-daughter at the end of november was found murdered, won his 10. victory in as many matches.
